ATA-NC strives to promote a closer understanding of and further cultural relations among the peoples of Turkey and the state of North Carolina. Toward this goal, ATA-NC cooperates with institutions, organizations and individuals engaged in similar activities in North Carolina and Turkey.

Founded in 1987, ATA-NC is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness of Turkish culture and sharing Turkish heritage within the Triangle community and throughout North Carolina.​
